impact on women’s roles today.
Kittel Magazine is a feminist publication questioning the nostalgia of young individuals today for the aesthetic familiarity of domestic life in Western Germany in the 1980s.
In that Issue No. I captures women at home through the female gaze, pointing at the tension between comfort and confinement.
Through engaging critically with the vernacular home environment, the magazine creates contemporary fashion imagery, challenging conservative power structures.
